Message from our President

Greetings ITS community of CT and beyond,

As we continue through an era of unprecedented transportation innovation and intelligence, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to ITS community for the trust and confidence you have placed in ITS-CT to lead our community. I would also like to thank our past Presidents, officers, and Board of Directors for their outstanding leadership in expanding our horizons and growing the organization into what it is today.

​The Intelligent Transportation Society, Connecticut Chapter continues to serve as a leader in advancing innovation in transportation and technology for both our members and the public. Today, transportation is evolving more rapidly than ever before. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, connected and automated vehicles, real-time data analytics, and smart infrastructure are transforming how people and goods move throughout our communities. At the same time, travelers are presented with more transportation choices than ever before — from public transit and micromobility to ridesharing, electric vehicles, and integrated mobility services.

 

While transportation options and technologies continue to evolve, one thing remains constant: transportation is critical to the daily lives of the public and to the economic vitality, safety, accessibility, and sustainability of our communities. As professionals in the intelligent transportation industry, we have an important responsibility to ensure these innovations serve the public effectively, equitably, and safely.

In the coming year, my vision for our Chapter is one of collaboration, adaptability, and forward-thinking leadership. Together, let us continue exploring new technologies and ideas while fostering partnerships across the transportation community. By harnessing our collective expertise, we can help shape transportation systems that are smarter, safer, more resilient, and more responsive to the needs of the people we serve. We are hard at work to bring new products and technology demonstration, hands-on trainings, and other educational resources in the upcoming days.

I look forward to working closely with each of you, along with our partner organizations, as we continue advancing intelligent transportation into a future defined by innovation, progress, and positive change. Let us move forward together, embracing the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead.
